WORLD BLEEDING DISORDERS REGISTRY
The WBDR is the only global registry collecting standardized clinical data on people with hemophilia (PWH). The WBDR provides a web-based information entry platform to a big network of participating hemophilia treatment centres (HTCs) to collect and manage their data. WBDR data are invaluable for evidence-based advocacy, research, and improving clinical practice.
PARTICIPATE IN THE WBDR
The WBDR is a key data collection tool improving the provision of intendance for PWH around the world.
HTCs interested in participating in the WBDR demand to meet the following criteria:
- Take access to the net to connect to the web-based data entry system
- Accept an identified person who can input confidential patient data in the registry
- Be willing to enrol patients in the registry over the long-term and complete follow upwardly questionnaires at each patient visit
If your HTC is interested in participating in the WBDR, please electronic mail u.s.a. at wbdr@wfh.org. The WFH will guide y'all through the procedure of obtaining ethics approving from your local institution or ministry building of wellness.
- Download ethics submission documents
Once HTCs accept obtained ethics approval, the individual(south) who will be doing data entry must accept a WBDR data entry training before they can start enrolling patients.
The International Data Integration Plan helps to combine resources from existing hemophilia registries and maximize the utility of data that currently exist past facilitating information transfer from existing patient registries to the WBDR. The programme is bachelor to interested countries who wish to join this global initiative by sharing their national data and having their data represented in the WBDR. Contact the WFH at wbdr@wfh.org for more than information.

Current programme collaborations
- Czech National Haemophilia Programme Registry (CNHPR): The CNHPR collects national data from viii pediatric and eight developed hemophilia treatment centres in the Czech Commonwealth. As part of a proof-of-concept study, a de-identified minimal prepare of information from the 2018 CNHPR data were imported into the WBDR. Starting in 2019, and following the success of the start import, data on genetic testing, the Hemophilia Joint Wellness Score (HJHS), comorbidities, and hospitalizations were added to the imported dataset. Information from CNHPR go on to be annually updated in the WBDR.
- Hereditary Bleeding Disorders Registry (HBDR) of the Thai Gild of Hematology: In 2021, the HBDR of the Thai Society of Hematology (TSH) collaborated with the WBDR to integrate their 2020 and 2021 data in the global registry. As a result of the cooperative work between the HBDR of the TSH and the WBDR, the minimum and extended data sets of 300 people with hemophilia A and B take been transferred to the WBDR as part of the latest import. More detailed data of data transfer from the HBDR to the WBDR can be obtained here (in English only).
Participating in the WBDR allows PWH to play an active role in edifice this of import resources and improving the future of global hemophilia care. If yous are a PWH, or a caregiver of a PWH, and are interested in enrolling in the WBDR, delight contact your HTC and enquire virtually their participation in the WBDR.

WBDR Data
The WBDR database was adult through a collaboration between the WFH, the Karolinska Institute, and Health Solutions.
The WBDR was launched in 2018 with a minimal data set, and an extended data prepare was added to the database in March 2019. Additionally, the WBDR includes five functional scales and a quality of life scale.
All patient information stored in the WBDR is de-identified and confidential. The information policy guidelines of Health Solutions adhere to both the CE-mark (Conformité Européenne) and the U.K. IGSoC (Data Governance Statement of Compliance) standards, and are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

GENE THERAPY REGISTRY
The Factor Therapy Registry (GTR) is a prospective, observational, and longitudinal registry designed to collect long-term data on people with hemophilia (PWH) who receive gene therapy.
Gene therapy is a new and evolving therapeutic modality for hemophilia. Clinical trials have established the efficacy of factor therapy in decreasing haemorrhage and use of hemostatic treatment for at least v to 8 years mail service-infusion. However, many unresolved questions on the long-term safety, variability and immovability of efficacy remain at the completion of initial clinical trial programs. Lifelong follow‐up of patients is crucial to monitor long-term rubber and efficacy of gene therapy.
The primary objective of the GTR is to determine the long-term prophylactic of factor 8 and cistron IX gene therapies for PWH. Secondary objectives are to determine the long-term efficacy and the durability of factor Eight and factor IX gene therapies in PWH, and to assess long-term quality of life and burden of illness post gene-therapy infusion.
Data will be captured in the registry one of two ways:
- Directly via participating hemophilia treatment centres (HTCs)
- All HTCs that will be administering gene therapy for PWH will be invited to participate. HTCs that volition be providing follow up visits for PWH who receive gene therapy will either be invited to participate, or the patient data collected at the follow up site will exist sent to the HTC administering gene therapy for inclusion in the registry.
- Through data transfer/linking from existing national hemophilia registries who meet specific criteria and can ensure the following:
- Collection of the same/similar data fields equally the WFH GTR core information set
- Harmonization and standardization of terminology, particularly for adverse events
- Patient consent for secondary uses of their data exterior of the existing registry
- Strict data quality management practices and loftier-quality data
- Avoidance of duplication of PWH
If participation in the GTR is of interest to your HTC or to your country, please contact usa at gtr@wfh.org.
The GTR protocol synopsis is available here.
Data Quality Program
The WFH GTR will include a comprehensive data quality program, which volition be applied to all WFH GTR data entered in the gene therapy registry. All data volition exist evaluated on the following data quality dimensions:
- Completeness
- Accuracy
- Timeliness
- Source document validation
